Our Commitment to Accessibility

Privateer Trading Co. is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance Standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.

Measures We Take

• Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy throughout the platform.
• Sufficient color contrast ratios for all text and interactive elements.
• Keyboard navigation support for all interactive components, including the Crafting Table, AI Concierge, and checkout flow.
• ARIA labels, roles, and live regions for dynamic content updates such as price changes and stock indicators.
• Minimum touch target sizes of 24×24px (44×44px for primary actions) on all interactive elements.

Known Limitations

While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, the following limitations are known:

• 3D product viewer (model-viewer): The interactive 3D viewer may not be fully accessible to all assistive technologies. Alternative product photos are always available.
• Third-party embedded content: Some content from payment processors (Stripe) may have accessibility limitations outside our direct control.
